Tips

  1. Reread proposal and make mental notes that all points have been covered
    • Make sure the logic and linkage of the proposal is understood
    • Pick up letters of support. Arrange letters from those with the most impact or politically important to the least important
  2. Put document in appropriate order as specified making sure everything is there
  3. Number the pages
  4. Prepare Table of Contents
  5. Prepare Transmittal Letter
  6. Get required signatures
  7. Determine number of copies and how to bind them
  8. Make copies
    • Prepare for mailing
  9. Mail, if you have lots of time, otherwise send FED-EX
  10. Take a deep breath
  11. Forget about it for a while
